Fire Station Refurbishments

The client wished to refurbish two operational fire stations to improve facilities for staff, rationalise accommodation and create space to allow the buildings to be made accessible to the local community.

Externally the windows and doors were replaced to both buildings, including the design of new entrances, and new insulated doors fitted to the appliance bays. Access improvements were implemented to each property to ensure the buildings are accessible to all users.

Internally all areas were refurbished including office, staff welfare and toilet facilities and the accommodation layouts re-modeled to suit current working practices.

Both stations remained fully operational throughout the construction works.
